While the Lakers have clawed back for a 3-2 lead within the series with two games left to play, uninspired performances and underwhelming games by star Kobe Bryant have prompted whispers that the Lakers are aging and in need of a tune-up. Jeanie said that if the Lakers win, Jackson likely will return meaning a three peat in 2010-2011, according to Yahoo! Sports. He doesn’t need any cash and isn’t looking for a mortgage loan restructuring soon. . Buss acknowledged this by saying “I know Phil can be coaching next year, somewhere. Whether it is here or someplace else I do not know. … There’s going to be a lot of good jobs that come up this summer.”

It really might happen differently than you think. Jackson could very possibly, according to Yahoo, leave the Lakers for the Cleveland Cavaliers. That would probably only happen if LeBron James re-signs with the Cavs. Cleveland might win the championship and the players are hungry, but haven’t put the pieces together yet. That sounds like a challenge Jackson could be up for. Jeanie Buss might just be using all of this media to force Phil Jackson into committing. Women tend to appreciate a man who’s willing to commit.
